Although a lot of gardens in the Jiangsu, China area can start to look somewhat the same after you have been to two or three, I was pleasantly surprised that this one has a small playground and camping area attached to the more classical Chinese garden. My brothers thoroughly enjoyed completing the 'obstacle course' around the playground, and literally climbing over the small Chinese children on the rope bridge.....
There was another interesting marketing strategy Decathalon used...... They attached a large piece of paper to a wall in the park, and set some markers our for people to use at their leisure. There was of course Decathalon related things on the the poster, but other than that is was covered in random drawings and scribbles.
To end the day we drove the the Ikea about 20 minutes away from the park for some Linconberry juice and Swedish Meatballs, yum!
Here's the link to a video I made about the day.
We continued on through the park for a while, and on the way out I saw them. The only pot heads I have ever seen in China! I couldn't believe that even though there were such strict laws in China about pot, that there were two pot heads right before my eyes.....
Just kidding! This is China, what did you expect!
Along with these beautiful pot heads, I noticed all of the amazing Spring flowers blooming around the garden.
This is my addition to the wall. I found one of the far ends to fill with my randomness. |
